About the foundation
A place of calm and reflection.
Solving a quiet, persistent problem that the world too often overlooks.
We stand on the shoulders of a hundred educators, mentors, and scholars who believed that access to education is the most dignified form of justice. We work to make that belief a daily practice — in tuition paid on time, in mentors who pick up the phone, in cohorts that feel like family.
Dan Foundation was founded in 2015 by Dr. Daniella Mwangi after two decades of teaching students the system had counted out. Our aim is simple: find the brilliant young people the world hasn’t seen yet, and give them a runway long enough to fly.
